Term 5 2025
What a whirlwind of a half-term it's been! Though short, the past few weeks have been packed with achievements, hard work, and a real sense of community spirit across the school.
A particular highlight has been the fantastic start to the Year 11 exam season. Our students have approached these crucial assessments with maturity, dedication, and a clear focus. We have been incredibly impressed by their resilience and the effort they have poured into their studies. Early feedback from the students coming out of their exams has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are immensely proud of the way our Year 11 cohort has represented themselves and the school. Keep up the excellent work, Year 11 – we are all behind you!
Beyond the exams and exam prep, a big focus has been on student experience. Ahead of the relaunch of our house system in September and alongside the launch of a brand new praise system, Fun Fridays have been in full flow including the hugely popular Welly Wanging!! Lots of events have taken place including dance competitions, the UK Maths challenges, a huge number of Sports Fixtures and a Whizzkids Wheelchair event. Next half term sees lots of events linked to our careers offer including Year 10 work experiences, university visits and guest speakers.
This short half-term has truly demonstrated the energy, commitment, and positive spirit that defines the Barnwood Park school community. We commend all our students for their hard work and engagement, and we look forward to continuing to build on this success in the term ahead. Enjoy a well-deserved break!
