I am delighted to welcome you to Barnwood Park School. We encourage students to be ambitious, determined, and we support them to succeed. We believe in the importance of helping our students achieve outstanding outcomes, but we also value the pastoral side of school life and support our students to develop the skills and character that will prepare them for life after they finish school.
We are a proud member of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, a ‘family’ of like-minded schools, that collaborate to provide mutual support, share their good practice and learn from each other, whilst retaining and developing their own distinctive character.

Term 5 has seen us kick off our Athletics programme in both curriculum PE lessons and extracurricular sessions. Athletics club has been extremely well attended, with over 50 students joining us in both sessions! Students have the opportunity to develop their technique and achieve new personal bests across all events, including sprints, middle-distance running, jumping, and throwing. We look forward to seeing you there every Thursday until 4:15 pm.

Our Year 10 Geography students were out in the Forest of Dean this week, putting their skills to the test with a hands-on river investigation. A brilliant 2 days of fieldwork in action!

The National Year of Reading would like the whole country to take time to pause and read tonight. Join in at 7pm to pause, relax and enjoy reading. This could be a magazine, non-fiction text, newspaper, blog, news, audiobook or a quick read from the library. You could even check out the 'World Book Night' playlist on Spotify.
