Barnwood Park School

Term 3 2025

It's been a busy and incredibly productive half-term here at Barnwood Park School, with so much to celebrate across all year groups. I'm particularly proud of our Year 11 students, who have demonstrated incredible dedication and resilience as they navigate this crucial period leading up to their GCSE exams. They've tackled a mountain of coursework with focus and determination, and are now gearing up for the next round of PPEs after the half-term break. Their commitment is truly inspiring, and we are confident that their hard work will pay off. We're here to support them every step of the way, and we wish them all the very best in the weeks ahead.

For Years 7 to 10, they have also been busy with their own assessments, demonstrating their learning and progress throughout the term. It’s fantastic to see such engagement and enthusiasm for learning across the board, as well as hear the discussions with their teachers and peers about their results.

Our commitment to inclusive education continues to flourish and develop, with our hugely successful SEND coffee mornings providing invaluable support and information to parents and carers. These sessions are a fantastic opportunity to share best practice and celebrate the positive impact of our inclusive learning environment. My thanks to everyone involved in organising, supporting and attending these important events.

Beyond the classroom, our students have benefited from a wide range of enriching experiences. We've had several trips and visits, including a particularly memorable GCSE Music trip to Gloucester Guildhall. These opportunities are vital for broadening horizons and bringing learning to life, and we're delighted to be able to continue to increase our offer of extracurricular activities.

It has been a great half-term, filled with hard work, achievements, and a real sense of community. I'm incredibly proud of all our students and staff, and I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together in the coming months. Have a restful and enjoyable half-term break!
