Student Experience
Students are placed into one of 3 Houses, Jenner (Red), Attenborough (Blue) and Parks (Yellow). Students instantly join their house family by wearing a House-coloured pin badge on their blazer.
The House system supports the holistic development of students as they learn. Being part of a family allows more progression as students develop their drive and motivation to one common goal: to achieve their maximum potential and enjoy the journey.
During the year, students compete in a variety of events and competitions for their house. They can gain house points and other rewards, such as Legacy Colours.
We also have 'Fun Fridays', which take place on a Friday lunchtime.

What are our Legacy Colours?
As part of our Student Experience programme, we also offer an initiative called the ‘Legacy Colours’. The purpose of this is to not only help and encourage our young people to continue to strive to be excellent academically, but also to recognise the importance of the wider cultural capital that will help them to contribute to the conversations that shape who we are as strong, independent, and thoughtful human beings.
It is a whole school rewards programme that is underpinned by our four values ‘Respect, Ambition, Determination, Success’ and is designed to reward students for their extra-curricular efforts that exist outside our everyday curriculum. Students can receive ‘half colour’ and eventually ‘full colour’ badges that are linked to our four values by completing a wide range of activities such as: fundraising, visiting theatres/art galleries/exhibitions, reading 50 library books, achieving 100 house points, representing your house in an event.
Alongside our House Point system, the ‘Legacy Colours’ provides another opportunity for our school to celebrate and reward the wonderful choices that our young people make every day.
If you—or someone you would like to nominate—have completed one of the activities listed under the pillars, please complete the form by clicking here.
