Term 5 2025

MCAS

Barnwood Park School will be moving to a new parent app called My Child At School (MCAS) at the end of this academic year. This will be used for parent communications, making payments for trips, events and dinner money. SCOPAY will no longer be active after the 18th July 2025. Any remaining balance will be transferred to the new system on this date. Further information will be sent home next term on how to download the parent app.  If you have not provided the school with an email address, please ensure you do so as soon as possible.

Year 11

A reminder to Year 11 students to continue to follow their personalised exam timetables after half-term.

There are 8am warm-up sessions for AM exams, P3 warm-up sessions for PM exams and booster sessions during P6. Lunchtime is during P4 for those who have an afternoon exam. It has been fantastic to see so many students attending these morning warm-up sessions!

Star Students of the Term

Year 7 - Harper-Mae Moore
For excellent attendance, immaculate uniform, always having the correct equipment, a positive attitude and excellent work in lessons. Well done.

Year 8 - Shaydon Regan
For brilliant effort and attitude towards school life this term and for being involved in the Rugby League team getting picked out as a student with a bright future in the sport, keep up the great work Shaydon!

Year 9 - Aarav Thatikonda
Since starting at Barnwood Park in Oct 2024, Aarav has settled in extremely well. He has flourished across the curriculum, especially in Maths and Music. Aarav's attendance is good and his behaviour is exemplary. We have found him to be polite, respectful and cheerful to staff and students alike. Teachers report that he consistently works hard and at a high standard in their lessons. He has made ambitious option choices and he has the right attitude to excel.

Year 10 - Jacob Ractliffe
For consistently having a brilliant attitude to learning and applying himself in all his lessons. Jacob always looks smart, wearing full uniform and is always organised for his day.

Year 11 - Xavier Williams
Xavier has really worked hard since the beginning of Y11. He is working well across his subjects and is focussed in lessons. He has made massive improvements in lots of areas and this has been evident in his PPE results. He is trying hard and wants to do well in everything that he is doing. Xavier has excellent attendance this year, Well done Xavier - I am proud of how you have tackled Y11 and the effort you have put into succeeding.

PE Department

A great term for the PE department - particularly the Rugby League Tournament which took place at Churchdown School. Students from all years groups took part and it was a fantastic afternoon. Well done everyone.

Another highlight has been the after-school athletics club. It has been great to see so many different students come along and practice or try something new.
