Star Students of the Term

Year 7 – Scarlett Davis
Well done to Scarlett for her hard work and dedication this term. In the classroom, she consistently demonstrates an excellent attitude and focus, which is reflected in the brilliant progress she is making across her subjects. She has had no AP referrals and maintains an impressive attendance rate of over 90%. Beyond her academic success, she is a valued member of our school community, always showing politeness and helpfulness to both her peers and staff. She also actively contributes to our school spirit by regularly attending Netball club and proudly representing the school in fixtures. Fantastic effort, Scarlett—keep up the amazing work!

Year 8 – Lacey White
Lacey is consistently kind, considerate, and a true pleasure to have in the classroom. She approaches her studies with focus and engagement, always eager to learn. She steps in to assist staff and support her peers without a moment's hesitation. She is an absolute delight to teach and a wonderful asset to our school community.

Year 9 – Lily Godwin
A huge well done goes out to Lily for having an absolutely brilliant term. Lily has excellent attendance and behaviour around the school. What shines through is her wonderfully positive attitude; it is an absolute joy to see and brings a great energy to our school community. Keep up the great work!

Year 10 – Joey Edwards
Joey has had an outstanding term, achieving 100% attendance and consistently appearing on the weekly leaderboard for positive house points.
He is exceptionally polite and friendly with all staff, always taking the time to offer thoughtful compliments and ask how their day is going. Each morning, Joey willingly helps with the Year 10 morning greeting set-up and has even volunteered to pick up litter to help keep the school environment looking smart and welcoming.
Joey has also worked incredibly hard in all of his interventions this term, and teachers have reported that he is successfully applying these strategies in lessons. He also represented the school brilliantly on the PfA trip and was described as a true model student.  Joey also secured his work experience placement after impressing a company at the school careers Fayre. Well done Joey!

Year 11 – Maisey Leach
Well done to Maisey, who has been a model student throughout her time at Barnwood Park. Maisey puts 100% effort into everything she does, pairing her hard work with excellent attendance. She spreads positivity to everyone around her. We wish her the absolute best of luck for the future.

It was fantastic to celebrate our first-ever Enrichment Fayre during Thursday lunchtime! It was wonderful to see so many students eagerly signing up for our new Term 6 clubs.

The excitement continues into the end of the week! We are looking forward to celebrating with our winning House during the final lesson on Friday with those students who successfully met the specific criteria sent out earlier this week.

It has been an incredibly busy but successful term for the PE department! Our students have absolutely smashed it—showcasing incredible teamwork and determination across Rugby Leagues, Football tournaments, Athletics, and so much more.

Looking ahead to next term, we would love to see as many students as possible getting involved in our after-school and lunchtime clubs.

Student Success

A huge well done to Elizabeth in Year 7, who recently competed in the Cheltenham Dance Festival. Up against a remarkably high standard of competition, Elizabeth performed brilliantly, placing 4th in her Lyrical solo and 5th in her Modern solo. She also took part in a group dance. What a brilliant achievement!
